Regional Planner

The Regional Planner will partner with Planning, Merchandising, Logistics, Store Operations, and the Field to drive profitable sales growth through deep analysis and actionable insights focused on the product and location intersection. This role ensures total store inventory levels align with the merchandising strategy and are allocated properly to meet or exceed sales, comp, gross margin, and inventory goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Manager of Regional Planning on special projects to drive regional sales.
- Execute regional data analysis, validate results, and recommend data-driven strategies to improve trends based on regional impacts (e.g., weather, economic conditions).
- Perform tactical execution, analytical data analysis, report preparation, and interpretation/summary of findings.
- Aid in developing hind-sighting processes and metrics to measure Store Planning effectiveness.
- Deliver new methods for store planning business analysis, process improvement, system efficiencies, and performance measurement.
- Ensure timely communication of key timelines, deliverables, and expectations to cross-functional teams.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to strategize, develop, and manage sales and margin opportunities.
- Participate in Company initiatives to evolve Inventory Management, Store Planning, and Logistics.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, lead meetings, support training, and documentation for the Store Planning team.
- Analyze sales at key locations/clusters and determine actions to maximize sales, gross margin, and inventory goals.
- Evaluate current trends to adjust future plans, inventory, and order strategies.
- Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to create optimal location-level allocations and establish store-grade assortments based on analytics.
- Provide input to Sales, Merchandising, and Supply Planning on inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and phase-outs.
- Create, maintain, and analyze weekly/monthly sales and inventory reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Merchandise Buying, Allocation, or Planning.
- Strong Retail Math acumen.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the retail industry and various market products.
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Proficient in Oracle planning system and JDA Allocation (strongly desired).
