Regional Parts Operations Specialist

About the role

The Regional Parts Operations Specialist is a field-based role responsible for traveling statewide to support branch parts departments by providing expertise, coaching, and hands-on assistance with standardized processes and procedures. This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, but works closely with the General Parts Manager, Operations Leaders, and frontline teams to improve consistency, efficiency, compliance, and customer experience across all locations. The ideal candidate leverages deep parts operations knowledge, strong communication skills, and influence-based leadership to drive continuous improvement and best-practice adoption.

Responsibilities

• Process & Procedure Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for parts department processes, systems, and standard work; support consistent implementation of company and Caterpillar-mandated parts procedures across all branches; identify gaps between documented process and actual practice and provide corrective guidance; assist with rollout of new initiatives, tools, and process changes.
