About the Role

The Regional Operations Director East reports to the Vice President of Meter Services, overseeing multiple operating units, projects, or territories. This role provides strategic and tactical direction to Operations Managers and Supervisors, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The position bridges frontline management and senior leadership, executing company initiatives, safety standards, and financial objectives across assigned regions.

Responsibilities

• Regional & Operational Leadership:
  • Lead and oversee Operations Managers/Supervisors across territories.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and safety programs.
  • Maintain consistency in service delivery, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead regional planning, forecasting, staffing, and performance improvement.
  • Partner with Senior Operations Manager on strategic initiatives.
• Financial & Business Management:
  • Oversee regional budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Analyze metrics, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor labor costs, overtime, expenditures, and operational efficiency.
  • Support business development with pricing, staffing, and service expansion.
• People Leadership & Development:
  • Coach and mentor Operations Managers/Supervisors.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and wage reviews.
  • Identify staffing needs and partner with recruiting.
  • Promote accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead change management initiatives.
• Customer & Client Relations:
  • Serve as escalation point for complex customer issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent Bermex professionally.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customer reporting.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor DOT and Non-Regulatory testing compliance.
  • Promote drug/alcohol testing compliance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of progressive operations management experience.
• 2+ years of multi-project and related field experience.
• Experience managing multiple teams, departments, or territories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of operations leadership experience (preferred).
• Experience in budget development, forecasting, and financial oversight (preferred).
• Utility services, field operations, or service-industry leadership experience (preferred).

Working Conditions
