About the role
Bowman and Brooke LLP, a national product liability law firm with more than 200 lawyers in 17 offices, is seeking a Regional Office Administrator to oversee our Charlotte, North Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina locations. This role will manage all local human resources functions, facility management, budget planning, and in-house and outsourced services for a firm known for defending high-exposure, technically intricate lawsuits.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the firm’s national HR, Finance, IT, Records, and Marketing Departments to implement policies, procedures, and programs.
- Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding efforts for the office.
- Practice Management by Walking Around (MBWA) to address issues, gain team commitment, and instill confidence in leadership.
- Coach for success and implement disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Manage the performance review process.
- Review budgets, purchasing, and invoice processing.
- Ensure an effectively functioning facility using best business practices for resource, service, and process management (experience with office moves preferred).
- Facilitate monthly office team meetings to provide education, workflow direction, and encourage open communication.
- Provide consistent communication and collaboration with local Managing and Co-Managing Partners.
- Stay informed about local issues/events and implement strategies for compliance and safety.
- Oversee all aspects of entertainment events, including summer outings, holiday parties, and other activities.
- Travel as needed for meetings or to provide additional on-site support across the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced law firm environment.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Aderant Expert (CMS) and iManage (document management software) is a plus.
