Responsibilities
- Cook up and facilitate internal response meetings
- Plan, implement, and evaluate activities associated with the coalition
- Grant compliance and development, reporting submissions, and management
- Technical assistance to local/regional coalitions and partnerships
- Coordinate the Los Angeles Regional Network Hub’s in-person meetings, convenings, and conversations
- Attend external meetings with the Regional Network Hub administrators and funders
- Provide status updates on the Direct Service Subgrantees’ performance and compliance
- Verify status and/or satisfactory completion of the activities by Direct Service Subgrantees
- Draft compliance review letters to provide notice of grant performance
- Notify Regional Network Hub administrators and funders of staffing changes
- Update and notify about staffing changes
- Diversify the distribution of shared Regional Network Hub resources
- Oversee the success of all rapid response related grants and programs
- Serve as liaison between impacted families and various teams
- Support the creation of programs and processes needed to meet community needs
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in related field
- At least five years of experience in management
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume programs and external relationships
- Excellent problem-solving, coordinating teams, and strategic execution skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Proven experience in a non-profit organization
- Engaged in immigrant rights and related issues
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement CHIRLA’s policy with limited supervision
- Strong commitment and passion to building immigrant power within a broader strategy toward achieving social, economic, and racial justice
- Highly self-motivated, creative, takes initiative, able to learn quickly, flexible, and works as part of an interdisciplinary team of advocates
- Able to work efficiently and manage multiple projects at once
- Strong commitment to CHIRLA’s mission of empowering low-income community groups and immigrants
