Essential Functions
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to Business Development Managers and their team within their region
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the region to achieve financial targets, market expansion and business growth
- Maintain and monitor branch performance indicators such as deposit growth, small business loan origination, customer satisfaction and compliance with bank policy and procedures
- Foster a customer-centric culture, emphasizing exceptional customer service, and manage escalated customer issues
- Ensure that all branches within the region adhere to banking regulations, policies and procedures, and manage risk effectively
- Identify opportunities for market growth, customer acquisition, and cross-selling bank products and services
- Stay informed about local economic conditions, competitor activities, and market trends to adapt strategies accordingly
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Retail on regional performance, challenges and opportunities
- Oversee staffing levels, manage personnel issues and plan for succession within the region. In rare occurrences, cover branches as necessary to attain branch goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of banking experience, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance
- Proven track record of achieving sales and growth targets
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Highly organized and detail oriented
