About the role

The Regional Manager position is a critical operations leader within our company and helps us achieve our mission through effective management of area managers, maintaining a strong focus on operations excellence, and acting as an internal salesperson to drive enrollment growth across locations within assigned portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Area Manager and Senior Area Managers to ensure the implementation of Right At School’s programs, achieve quality and safety standards, and implement opportunities to optimize program operations.
  • Manage and drive business decisions to maximize revenue, customer retention, and acquisition, supporting internal and external growth within the organization.
  • Drive profitable results with the assigned Area Manager's/SAMs portfolio through effective business analysis, identifying financial opportunities and action plans to address current business challenges and deliver desired results directly tied to KPI and EBITDA.
  • Able to self-solve when possible, but also have the sensibility to escalate problems when needed to ensure all programs meet and exceed desired outcomes.
  • Ability to embrace change, tackle challenges, take risks, learn fast, and influence change to lead the execution of strategic initiatives through others while managing competing priorities.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, engage, and retain a highly talented team of Area Managers and maintain a pipeline of viable candidates for assigned markets.
  • Ensure the Area Managers develop skills to manage employee relations, counseling, and terminations consistent with Right At School practices.
  • Through talent assessments, the review process, and partnership with the HRBPs and Central Office departments, establish regional succession plans to identify and develop future leaders and achieve a diverse workforce to bring our mission and values to life.
  • Demonstrate ability to speak and write succinctly and persuasively so that expectations are clear, timelines are delineated, and excellence is defined.
  • Be one of the faces of Right At School with key district stakeholders within the region portfolio to allocate and bring resources as needed to assist with client business goals.
  • Manage designated business portfolios; drive business decisions to maximize revenue, customer retention, and acquisition, supporting internal and external growth within the organization.
  • Assess the region's annual parent and client surveys; in partnership with the RVP, develop a strategic plan to address the identified issues.
  • Oversee Area Managers and SAMs with start-up programs and annual fall openings.
  • Partner with RVPs, SAMs, HRBP, TA Team, and Central Office departments to identify training and development opportunities to support area managers in your region and across the organization.
  • Understand and implement the benefits of peer-to-peer learning in the workplace at their level and direct reports.
  • Create environments for knowledge sharing, strengthen company culture, accelerate onboarding of employees, foster meaningful connections with remote employees, and support employee development and career pathing.
  • Own projects. Perform assignments and assist with projects as directed by RVP, HRBP, and Central Office departments.
  • Assist others in solving problems and achieving their own goals. Share information, ideas, and suggestions. Ask for help in identifying and achieving goals and solving problems. Check for agreement and gain commitment to shared goals.
  • Breed teamwork and shared accountability is a must.
  • Maintain an understanding of Right At School products, services, and value propositions.
  • Drive consistent focus on safety, quality, and educational excellence through their Area Manager team.
  • Encourage themselves and others to maintain an emphasis on standards of excellence across work.
  • Guarantee Right At School sites/programs maintain state-specific licensing requirements.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of five years of professional work experience in childcare, retail, or related industry.
    • Three to five years of experience managing multi-site locations in the field, retail, or other related areas.
    • Three to five years of direct P&L, demonstrated track record of achieving business-related KPIs.
    • Passion for operational excellence.
    • Expert-level organization and project management skills.
    • Ability to work with technology at a high-level.
    • Someone who is gifted at leveraging staff’s talents and strengths by assigning appropriate responsibilities to individuals across programs that achieve business objectives.
    • A proven ability to manage a geographically dispersed workforce successfully.
    • Has effectively managed and established high-performing teams in the past.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities from various sources, organizing and prioritizing effectively to impact areas of greatest need.
    • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education experience and/or military service.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to visit field programs with Area Managers. Travel may include overnight stays to manage geographically dispersed locations.

        Benefits

        The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year.

        Schedule

        As a Regional Manager, you will be required to travel up to 50% of the time to visit field programs with Area Managers. Travel may include overnight stays to manage geographically dispersed locations.
