Regional Manager - Protein

Job Summary

The Regional Operations Manager oversees logistics activity within a defined geographic market, ensuring optimal business results and maintaining customer and employee retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds a positive atmosphere by challenging others to achieve optimal business results
• Maintains balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks
• Manages customer orders
• Maintains consistency in customer-awarded commitments and develops contingency plans for critical situations
• Generates new capacity through rate negotiations for unplanned new lanes and volume
• Produces regular and ad-hoc reports (P&L, revenue share, load counts, etc.)

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal/state regulations and DOT regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel reporting functions
• Familiarity with transportation of temperature-controlled product
• Highly organized and communicative, especially in developing actions plans and ensuring accountability and follow-through
• Ability to handle high volumes of inbound communications
• Some knowledge of the AS/400 operating system preferred

• 5+ years of management experience within or directly related to the transportation industry

M-F (Weekend Rotation)
