Regional Manager, Human Resources
About the Role
Regional Human Resources Business Partners support Family Dollar’s Senior Leaders and their teams within an assigned multi-state territory. They perform both hands-on and strategic roles, providing human resources expertise in team relations, coaching and development, compensation, performance management, organizational development, and training. HR Business Partners integrate within the business to understand organizational values and team dynamics, driving HR strategies and best practices. They focus on Family Dollar’s organizational culture, Team Member engagement, retention, performance management, and succession planning, while embracing the company’s store-centric commitment to customers, customer service, and sales.
The HR Business Partner translates business needs into meaningful approaches to support leadership development, change management, and organizational effectiveness, working independently and collaboratively to deliver both detail-oriented and strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Understand business and functional dynamics to drive human resource practices that create an effective and high-performing organization.
- Partner with and coach business leaders on all aspects of human resources, including team member engagement, retention, team relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, development, training, and HR compliance.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) teams to develop and implement HR practices and initiatives tailored to the organization’s needs.
- Provide management information, data analysis, metrics, and tools to demonstrate progress toward key milestones and recommend process improvements.
- Assist the Divisional Vice President of Corporate Human Resources in developing and executing department goals and objectives.
- Maintain expert knowledge of federal and state employment law and ensure compliance within assigned groups.
- Conduct exit interviews and translate findings into action-oriented recommendations for client groups.
- Ensure the performance management process is administered consistently, constructively, and productively within client groups.
- Design teambuilding sessions and facilitate training, in conjunction with the Learning and Development team, to support communication, conflict resolution, and competency enhancement.
- Represent HR and client groups on cross-functional teams for projects, new programs, and processes.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Home office with 25-50% travel within assigned territory.
- 40+ work hours per week.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- SPHR or PHR Certification is beneficial.
- Previous Organizational Design experience is a plus.

Pay
$94,000 - $125,000 per year.
Location
Los Angeles, California (Full-time).
