Regional Manager, Conventional Housing
Pursuant to state regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $110,000-$120,000 plus bonus potential.
About the role
The Regional Manager, Conventional Housing is primarily responsible for overseeing on-site operations from the corporate level across assigned residential communities. The incumbent will oversee operations for multiple residential housing properties as assigned. This position has a combination of operational and strategic focus while directly managing the on-site leaders toward achieving operational excellence in accordance with Cardinal Group standards. The Regional Manager is responsible for all aspects of their assigned communities, including the development and achievement of revenue targets, expense management, and other financial goals. This leader will provide exceptional service to clients, on-site Community Managers, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Faithfully execute the roles and responsibilities of Manager as outlined by the individual Property Management Agreements between Cardinal Group Management and the ownership entities controlling all assigned communities.
- Provide direct management, leadership, and support to assigned on-site Community Managers to ensure all policies and procedures are followed according to best practice.
- Execute the formal performance management cycle for assigned on-site Community Managers, acting as an advisor for team member development and corrective action when necessary.
- Participate in the onboarding of new Community Managers, including leading the preparation and execution of the first-week orientation agenda and providing additional training or support through their first 90 days of employment.
- Ensure adherence to client-required reporting processes, templates, and schedules, including annual planning and budget preparation, weekly and monthly reporting, and monthly financial reporting in partnership with the Accounting team.
- Collaborate with other Cardinal Group operators to generate strategic, operational, financial, or investment recommendations for client consideration or implementation.
- Participate in new business presentations and assist the Business Development Team with deliverables, including budgets, market studies, and pricing exercises.
- Acquire and consolidate feedback and insights into company initiatives, operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Act as the key point of contact between Cardinal HQ, on-site teams, and any third-party client or affiliated party.
- Develop and maintain a catalog of all operational information for assigned communities, including vendor contacts, employee rosters, budgets, and marketing strategy.
- Prepare for and participate in monthly, quarterly, or annual review meetings with the client.
- Increase the level of engagement, team member satisfaction, and experience of all HQ and on-site team members within assigned communities.
- Provide project management oversight for any ongoing assigned community initiatives.
- Provide operational assessments as assigned, including written reports for new or existing communities, articulating observations and recommendations for each facet of the assessment.
- Ensure the successful implementation of policies, procedures, and new initiatives as directed by the Director of Operations or Vice President, Operations.
- Travel to assigned communities as the needs of the business dictate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Successful leadership and motivation of direct reports in previous roles.
- Excellent time management and organization skills, along with a professional attitude.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Problem-solving ability and creative thinking.
- Professional written and verbal communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Customer service focused, with the ability to generate accurate and timely results and communicate effectively with team members, co-workers, and management.
- Knowledge of current compliance programs, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to provide technical assistance on complex compliance issues in a simple and accurate manner.

- Routine travel is required.
