About the role
IRT Living is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily apartment communities in South Carolina and North Carolina. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic, results-driven professional who is passionate about developing teams, maximizing financial performance, and delivering exceptional resident experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a portfolio of multifamily communities to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Improve property performance by increasing revenue, managing expenses, and maintaining company standards.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop Community Managers and onsite teams to foster a high-performing culture.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, business plans, and performance objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives tailored to each community's needs.
- Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement action plans to improve results.
- Partner with senior leadership by providing regular updates on property performance, opportunities, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and all applicable laws.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned portfolio to provide leadership, coaching, and operational support.
Qualifications
- Regional multifamily property management experience strongly preferred.
- Progressive leadership experience within the multifamily housing industry.
- College coursework preferred.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation is a plus.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving property performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and multifamily property management regulations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel locally and out of state as business needs require.
- Ability to participate in a multi-day, out-of-state training program within the first two weeks of employment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours or be on call as business needs require.
