About the role
A Regional Manager at Catholic Charities is responsible for employment of qualified and competent personnel, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. This role includes supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Key responsibilities include coordinating general administration and operations of AHCI properties to provide safe and sanitary housing, relevant social and recreation programs, positive management/resident relations, and maintaining a financially sound operation. The Regional Manager performs and documents on-site inspections, ensures resident selection and leasing comply with all laws, and works with site management to implement preventative maintenance programs.
The role also involves fostering resident involvement, positive relations, and developing social, educational, religious, and recreational programs. The Regional Manager formulates and analyzes data for management reviews, rent increases, and fund requests, reviews and updates policies and procedures, and supervises assigned staff while promoting continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Assure employment of qualified and competent personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Coordinate general administration and operations of AHCI properties to ensure safe and sanitary housing, relevant social and recreation programs, and positive management/resident relations.
- Perform and document on-site inspections as needed.
- Ensure resident selection, leasing, and waiting lists comply with all laws and HUD policies.
- Work with site management to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Foster resident involvement, positive relations, and address resident needs through social, educational, religious, and recreational programs.
- Formulate and analyze data for management reviews, rent increases, and requests for use of funds.
- Review and update policies and procedures as needed.
- Supervise and direct assigned staff, promoting continuing education.
- Keep Director informed through written weekly reports and ad hoc meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and agency information.

Requirements
- Solid knowledge of HUD, CHFA, and other affordable housing requirements.
- Solid knowledge of Fair Housing Laws to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws.
- Ability to oversee and supervise the work of others.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, both in leadership and supportive roles.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms with a diverse population.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related work experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience in a housing environment.
- Certification as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) preferred and may be required within twelve months of employment.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment including computers, printers, photocopiers, phones, and fax machines.
- Licensed ability to drive a vehicle with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work in a general office environment.
- Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and a diverse client base.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
