About The Role

The Regional Learning Manager is responsible for designing, deploying, and continuously improving training programs across a portfolio of fulfillment centers within their region. This role bridges corporate learning strategy with the realities of the warehouse floor — ensuring associates, leads, and site leaders have the skills and knowledge to operate safely, efficiently, and consistently across every facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Delivery & Site Support
    • Own the end-to-end training experience across all fulfillment sites in the region, including new hire onboarding for exempt and non-exempt employees, cross-training, and leadership development
    • Partner with Site Leaders, Network Support Leaders, and Operations Leaders to diagnose performance gaps and design targeted learning and training programs
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, train-the-trainer certifications, and floor-level coaching and training
    • Monitor training completion, certification status, and skill proficiency across sites; escalate risks proactively
  • Curriculum & Content
    • Localize and roll out corporate-standard curricula (safety, equipment operation, WMS/systems training, quality standards) to fit site and client specific processes
    • Identify content gaps and build or update materials (SOPs, job aids, e-learning modules, videos)
    • Maintain consistency of training standards across the region while allowing for site-level flexibility
  • Data & Continuous Improvement
    • Track key metrics: time-to-proficiency, training completion rates, safety incident correlation, turnover/retention impact
    • Use performance data to prioritize which sites or roles need additional support
    • Report regional training health to L&D leadership and operations stakeholders on a regular cadence
  • Leadership & Trainer Development
    • Recruit, coach, and certify site-level trainers and training leads
    • Build bench strength by developing frontline leaders' coaching and training capabilities
    • Act as a change agent during new site launches, peak season ramp-ups, and process/system rollouts

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in learning & development, training, or operations, with at least 2 years in a fulfillment, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training programs across multiple sites or shifts
  • Strong partnership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and communicate clearly with diverse audiences
  • Strong facilitation skills — comfortable training both frontline associates and site leadership
  • Data-literate: able to use training and performance data to make decisions and tell a story to stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the region (typically 40–60%)

Preferred

  • Experience with LMS platforms
  • Familiarity with WMS systems and fulfillment/logistics operations
  • Instructional design experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus depending on site footprint
  • Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement background

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

  • All sites in region at or above target training completion and certification rates
  • Reduced time-to-proficiency for new hires
  • A trained, certified bench of site-level trainers at each facility
  • Measurable link between training initiatives and safety/quality/productivity KPIs
