About the role
The Regional HSE Manager will oversee health, safety, and environmental practices at three manufacturing sites: Rock Island, IL (Inpro/Seal), Jeffersonville, IN (Cook Compression), and Antigo, WI (Waukesha Bearings). The home office is in Rock Island, IL with regular travel to Indiana and Wisconsin sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional HSE strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Champion a proactive safety culture by managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations like OSHA and EPA.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Create, implement, and manage regional HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
- Lead HSE continual improvement to minimize risk and improve workers' safety and efficiency.
- Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics (KPIs) to regional and executive leadership.
- Act as a primary contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and communicate safety issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Health Sciences, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in occupational health and safety in manufacturing environments, including developing, training on, and managing safety programs.
- Experience in incident management, resolution, and communication.
- Experience leading and participating in safety audits.
- Experience in people management, including leadership and delegation, within a matrix organization is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Strong KPI/metrics experience with analytical skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and HS&E system expertise.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

- CSP Certification.
