Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a HR generalist or HR Manager
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Preferred SPHR or PHR certification
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of the Human Resources function including recruitment, onboarding, performance & talent management, engagement and other related people initiatives or programs
  • Aid in managing Temporary Agencies supplying labor to the plant and hold the Temporary Agencies accountable to Pratt Industries Hiring Criteria
  • Manage new hire feedback and review process
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies
  • Administer all employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, paid leaves
  • Investigate employee relations issues, including hotline reports, with focus on timely resolution
  • Maintain and administer any records or personnel files as required by state and federal laws
  • Maintain and analyze metrics related to absenteeism, retention, and other HR KPI’s
  • Absorb and process biweekly payroll
  • Balance multiple commitments in fast-paced environment
  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings, acting as point of contact and HR Business Partner
  • Travel to locations as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

Technical Skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations

Preferred Candidates

  • Experience with ADP and other HRIS’s

Physical Demands

  • Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand
  • Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
  • The noise level in the work environment can be, at times, loud
