Responsibilities
- Maintain proactive connections with customers by providing cursory assessments on our technologies, spare parts, and conveyor cleanliness.
- Provide consultation with key reliability personnel on perceived hurdles and questions they have on optimally maintaining and operating their Intralox systems.
- Give feedback on the general health of our installed technologies and optimal peak preparedness.
- Support & promote Activated Roller Belt (ARB) and ancillary conveyor equipment applications.
- Enjoy building customer relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform health assessments, spares assessments, troubleshoot problem installations or applications in the field, and consult with site management on solutions.
- Communicate opportunities to Intralox customer account teams.
- Inspect conveyors to gather detailed technical information on opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate conveyor solution recommendations verbally and in written reports.
- Arrange and execute efficient travel on short notice, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Always maintain a professional appearance.
- Focus service on Logistics & Material Handling customers in a particular geographic region in North America.
- Maintain reasonable access to a regional airport (preferably live within 1 hour) and drive or fly to visit customers.
- Relentlessly self-evaluate, continuously improve, and strive for improved customer touches.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least two (2) years manufacturing, mechanical or agricultural experience.
- Strong mechanical background, ideally with experience in processing or conveying equipment.
- Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage visits from start to finish with little supervision.
- Customer service-oriented personality and approach.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft products.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Able to independently drive to appointments, lodgings, etc.
- Desire to travel regionally to North American customer locations, 70%+.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. and climb ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred OSHA safety training certification.
