Regional Field Manager - Tampa

About the role

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a Regional Field Manager (Grassroots Engagement Director) to lead grassroots efforts in Tampa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to driving policy reforms that benefit all.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Tampa
• Mobilize grassroots leaders to take action and advocate for change
• Train and equip local leaders to advocate for policies consistent with AFP's principles
• Organize events to engage the public through various methods
• Stay in regular contact with activists to keep them motivated and active
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring compliance and best practices

Requirements

• Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with diverse individuals
• Understanding of state and federal public policy landscapes
• Self-motivation and organization skills
• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, or political campaigns
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Entrepreneurial attitude and commitment to AFP's values

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Experience with digital campaigning and social media engagement

$50,000 - $65,000 annually, with the possibility of additional bonus compensation.
