About the role
As a Regional Field Manager on our Americans for Prosperity-North Dakota team, you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders across Fargo and communities throughout the state, mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reform that opens opportunities for all.
Responsibilities
- Identify activists in Fargo and other surrounding areas who are currently—or could become—leaders in their local communities as elected officials or citizen organizers, and motivate them to advocate for change.
- Equip these local leaders to advocate for changes consistent with AFP’s principles by connecting them to training and resources.
- Organize events to engage the public through phone calls, social media, door-to-door canvassing, and innovative outreach methods to educate on public policy issues.
- Ensure AFP maintains regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
- Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
- Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with individuals from all walks of life.
- Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
- Self-motivation and ability to prioritize time effectively to accomplish objectives.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events and activities.
- Ability to work well with a team, including AFP staff and engaged activists.
- Willingness to canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls, and coordinate volunteers for AFP initiatives and endorsed candidates.
- Valid driver’s license to travel as needed within North Dakota.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications
Standout candidates will bring:

Pay
Anticipated base salary range: $55,000–$65,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation based on overall contribution to the organization.
