About the Role

Walters Wedding Estates is the ultimate gathering place for weddings and special events, operating 30 beautiful ceremony, reception, and special event venues across Texas and Georgia. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Regional Facilities Manager (RFM) to oversee the maintenance, operational readiness, safety, and exceptional presentation of an assigned portfolio of premier wedding and hospitality venues. This role ensures facility-related issues never interfere with the guest experience and combines hands-on technical problem-solving with team leadership, vendor management, preventive maintenance, budget oversight, and strong use of our CMMS platform, Corrigo.

Responsibilities

  • Venue Maintenance & Operational Excellence
    • Lead and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across assigned venues, including HVAC, MEP systems, roofing, irrigation, commercial kitchens, building systems, and building exteriors.
    • Conduct regular property inspections and quality audits to ensure every venue is maintained in pristine, event-ready condition and meets Walters Wedding Estates brand standards.
    • Partner closely with Venue Managers and Operations teams to quickly identify and resolve facility issues while minimizing operational and event disruptions.
    • Provide emergency response and escalation support for urgent maintenance issues, equipment failures, severe weather events, and other facility emergencies.
    • Maintain a proactive, service-oriented approach to facility management, anticipating issues before they impact guests or events.
  • CMMS & Maintenance Data Management
    • Ensure 100% compliance with Corrigo for all regional maintenance activities.
    • Manage work order creation, assignment, completion, labor tracking, asset information, and preventive maintenance schedules within Corrigo.
    • Monitor key maintenance performance indicators, including open work order backlog, time to resolution, and preventive versus reactive maintenance.
    • Ensure vendors and contractors follow required Corrigo procedures, including check-in/check-out protocols, electronic work order completion, documentation, and invoicing.
    • Use maintenance data and reporting to identify trends, improve response times, and reduce recurring facility issues.
  • Budget & Financial Management
    • Manage the regional Repair & Maintenance (R&M) budget, ensuring spending remains aligned with annual financial goals.
    • Review, code, and approve vendor invoices and team expenses through Ramp and Corrigo while following corporate financial controls.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising safety, quality, or the guest experience.
    • Partner with Facilities leadership to identify capital improvement needs and opportunities.
    • Obtain competitive quotes, assist with project scoping, and oversee regional capital projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Safety, Life-Safety & Compliance
    • Maintain 100% life-safety readiness across the assigned regional portfolio.
    • Ensure required inspections, testing, and maintenance are completed for critical systems, including fire alarms, fire suppression systems, kitchen suppression hoods, sprinklers, backflow preventers, elevators, and other life-safety equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and other federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Maintain a safe environment for guests, employees, vendors, and contractors.
    • Respond promptly to safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented.
  • Team & Vendor Leadership
    • Hire, schedule, train, coach, and mentor Regional Maintenance Technicians and Field Maintenance Staff.
    • Build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, responsiveness, and pride in workmanship.
    • Establish clear expectations for maintenance quality, response times, safety, and customer service.
    • Source, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage local vendors and specialty contractors.
    • Hold contractors accountable for competitive pricing, quality workmanship, safety, responsiveness, and completion timelines.
    • Develop strong vendor relationships while ensuring work is performed according to Walters Wedding Estates standards.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports To: Director, Regional Facilities or VP of Facilities, as assigned
  • Direct Reports: Regional Maintenance Technicians and Field Maintenance Staff
  • Key Partners: Venue Managers, Regional Vice President of Operations, Corporate Facilities Administrator, and other Operations and Facilities leaders

What Success Looks Like

  • Protect the Guest Experience: Minimize and ultimately eliminate event disruptions caused by facility or equipment failures.
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance Excellence: Ensure preventive maintenance is completed accurately and on schedule through Corrigo.
  • Manage the Budget: Maintain regional R&M spending at or below budget while identifying meaningful cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain Life-Safety Compliance: Achieve a 100% pass rate on required life-safety inspections and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Pristine Venues: Ensure every assigned property is consistently clean, functional, safe, well-maintained, and event-ready.
  • Lead High-Performing Teams: Develop maintenance personnel who take ownership, respond quickly, and consistently deliver quality work.
  • Build Strong Vendor Partnerships: Ensure contractors deliver reliable, high-quality service at competitive costs.

Qualifications

The ideal Regional Facilities Manager is a hands-on facilities professional who understands that in the hospitality and wedding industry, there is no room for facility issues to interfere with the guest experience. You are organized, technically capable, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple properties, priorities, employees, vendors, and budgets. You take ownership of problems, communicate effectively with Operations, and are willing to roll up your sleeves when needed to get the job done.
