About the Role
A well-capitalized, large privately held commercial real estate firm headquartered in Irvine, CA is looking for an experienced, energetic & creative Regional Facilities Manager to oversee property operations of a portfolio of industrial, retail, hospitality and commercial office buildings.
Responsibilities
- Manage capital and tenant improvement projects, including projects required by lenders and insurance providers.
- Oversee daily property operations and vendor performance to ensure properties are maintained to company standards.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance, repair, and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend, coordinate, and oversee repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance opportunities.
- Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships and service agreements.
- Assist with leasing activities and tenant support as needed.
- Support the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assist in preparing monthly executive and financial reports, including variance explanations.
- Partner with acquisition and disposition teams by participating in due diligence activities and property transitions.
- Provide oversight of third-party property management companies for assigned assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property operations, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience managing commercial property portfolios preferred.
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with contractors, tenants, brokers, vendors, ownership, and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
Skills
- Experience with Yardi property management software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Intermediate to advanced computer and internet skills.
- Experience using commercial property management software.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear.
- May occasionally be required to climb.
- Required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time.
- Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.
