Regional Engineer, Bulk Material
About the role
The bulk material handling sales engineer will work with our field sales personnel to grow our sales in unit handling conveyors and systems for new and existing customers. They will accomplish this through direct sales calls throughout the assigned Purvis geographical area and via electronic means (Teams, phone, video chat).
Responsibilities
- Directly participate in sales efforts to close orders
- Cookbulk material handling bulk material handling with various Branches and Regional Managers
- Identify target accounts and prospects
- Work with the marketing team to produce marketing materials and events promoting unit and package handling.
- Provide marketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital content
- Utilize AutoCAD, Solidworks, and manufacturer-provided software such as HEROES or HyCAD
- Provide advanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or in person
- Determine final disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolve difficult cases
- Produce and present technical training for Customers and Purvis Team Members about bulk material handling products.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of bulk material handling principles and creative problem-solving
Strong customer service and communication skills
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good driving record
Qualifications
Prefer a B.S. in Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
Five (5) years of bulk material handling work
Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of bulk material handling principles and creative problem-solving

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good driving record
