Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations across multiple projects within an assigned region, ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop regional Safety Managers and support effective deployment of EHS personnel to meet project needs.
• Conduct site audits, compliance reviews, and performance assessments while driving continuous improvement through safety trends, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Partner with project leadership and clients to promote a strong safety culture, support project mobilization, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Provide leadership during significant safety incidents, oversee subcontractor safety compliance, and ensure consistent enforcement of company safety standards, including Stop Work Authority.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and support to Safety Managers and EHS personnel assigned to projects within the region.
• Establish performance expectations, support team development, and ensure consistent execution of Conductor Power’s EHS standards and CPSMS requirements.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and performance management while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the EHS team.
• Partner with Operations, Construction, Project Leadership, and Human Resources to address employee needs, resolve performance concerns, and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years of construction safety experience, including 3+ years supporting multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards with proven experience leading safety teams, driving accountability, and partnering with project leadership.
• Required certifications: OSHA 500, NFPA 70E, and First Aid/CPR/AED; CHST, ASP, or CSP certifications preferred.
• Experience in renewable energy construction (solar, BESS, substations), client-facing safety leadership, auditing, and supporting OSHA inspections is preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%), work in active outdoor construction environments, perform site inspections, and meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing required PPE.
