Position Summary
The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational performance of multiple dermatology practices within an assigned region. This role partners closely with physicians, clinical leaders, and support staff to drive practice growth, ensure operational excellence, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive regional performance by achieving or exceeding operational and financial targets through analysis of revenue, productivity, scheduling, patient flow, and utilization trends
- Optimize physician and advanced practice provider schedules, including vacation planning, to maximize access, efficiency, and revenue performance
- Lead and enhance clinic operations to improve operational efficiency, service excellence, provider satisfaction, and overall practice performance
- Recruit, hire, develop, coach, and retain high-performing clinic leadership and staff; oversee performance management, payroll, and time/attendance processes
- Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to practice leaders, addressing operational challenges, team development needs, and provider or staff concerns
- Ensure appropriate staffing models, schedules, and coverage levels through regular staffing and productivity analysis
- Oversee ordering and management of medical equipment and supplies to support clinical operations and cost controls
- Partner in financial and economic performance initiatives, including labor management, supply expense control, and other direct clinic cost drivers
- Ensure delivery of an exceptional and consistent patient experience across all clinics within the region
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, MIPS, and all applicable state and federal regulations
- Prepare for and actively participate in leadership and management meetings, contributing to regional and enterprise-wide initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: Public Health, Business Administration or Health Care Finance or related field
- 3+ years of health care administrative operations experience in upper-level management and supervision
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Job Location(s)
Pennsylvania with regular coverage to New Jersey and Delaware.
