Regional Director of Event Fundraising - Central Florida

This is a remote position, and the preferred candidate will live in the Orlando, Florida metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and training of volunteers
• Managing volunteer efforts in support of Ducks Unlimited fundraising events
• Fostering growth within the region with emphasis on new chapter development; internal growth within existing committees; identification and development of non-traditional fundraising opportunities and major donor identification and management
• Coordination and collaboration with the Florida fundraising team and volunteers

Requirements

• BA or BS from an accredited institution is required
• Volunteer experience with non-profit organizations (experience with Ducks Unlimited is desired)
• Aptitude for building and managing relationships with a diverse group of volunteers
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with a personal computer, basic MS Office applications, and the Internet
• Ability to develop computer skills specific to Ducks Unlimited’s standardized information systems
• Self-motivated and eager to accept challenging goals
• Willingness to work hours extending well outside the typical workday and workweek, including extensive auto travel throughout the region
