Regional Director of Development
About the role
Play a critical role in building a robust community of philanthropic support in the Denver market. Manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors. Plan and implement major gift fundraising strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors. Develop and implement a strategy for each prospect in partnership with Foundation colleagues. Foster relationships with alumni, community leaders, and engaged philanthropists leveraging in-person visits and video technology to enhance connections. Leverage travel by University and Foundation leadership to the Denver area.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors.
- Plan and implement major gift fundraising strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum Experience: 1-3 or 3+ years’ experience in development, communication, sales, or another related field.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education fundraising as a student or professional.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills across multiple mediums, including video conferencing.
- An affinity to Nebraska.
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize effectively.
- Discretion in handling and navigating confidential matters.

Benefits
This is a full-time position offered at a range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year with an attractive benefits package as outlined below or on our website (https://nufoundation.org/careers/).
