About the Role
Jerusalem Peacebuilders seeks a strategic Director of Development to expand philanthropic support for its interfaith youth leadership and teacher training programs in the United States and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Strategy and Growth
- Design and implement a comprehensive development strategy aligned with organizational priorities and annual fundraising goals
- Build and manage a strong major gifts and grants pipeline, expanding beyond existing networks to engage high net worth individuals and new funders nationally
- Identify and research new revenue opportunities aligned with JPB’s educational and peacebuilding programs
- Establish clear metrics and track progress toward defined fundraising goals
- Major Donor Cultivation and Stewardship
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity donors and funders
- Develop tailored engagement strategies aligned with JPB’s multipartisan mission
- Partner with senior leadership in high level donor meetings and relationship building
- Ensure consistent stewardship and impact reporting
- Campaigns and Communications
- Lead targeted mini campaigns tied to program priorities
- Manage and mentor a communications intern to strengthen donor messaging and outreach
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional fundraising experience with track record of securing gifts and grants at the six-figure level
- Proven ability to design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities
- Experience building and expanding prospect pipelines beyond established relationships and institutional networks
- Ability to set clear revenue goals, develop forecasts, and track performance against measurable benchmarks
- Experience strengthening fundraising systems, donor tracking, and reporting infrastructure in a growing, complex organization
- Comfort representing an organization externally with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and institutional partners
- Experience leading targeted campaigns tied to strategic programmatic growth
- Strong cross-cultural fluency and deep sensitivity to Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Druze communities
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience collaborating across program, communications, and leadership teams to align fundraising with mission delivery
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
