Regional Director of Business Operations
The Regional Director of Business Operations (RDBO) at Anne Arundel Dermatology is responsible for delivering operational excellence across their region. Reporting directly to the COO, this role involves:
- Driving results and revenue growth
- Recruiting and developing top provider talent
- Ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction
- Maintaining full P&L responsibility including managing and improving revenue, reducing clinical costs, and improving clinical margin across all service lines
- Monitoring and reviewing provider schedules to maximize capacity utilization, patient encounters, and access across the region
- Monitoring and actively managing labor expense relative to budget, analyzing staffing levels, scheduling efficiency, and overtime to ensure labor costs remain within approved targets; identifying opportunities to optimize workforce deployment without compromising patient care or service quality
- Building and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with physicians and business leaders to align on business strategies, enhance operational performance, and improve patient services
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining top clinical and administrative talent, including onboarding and accelerating the productivity of new and ramping providers, to support regional growth and a high-performance culture
- Partnering with Compliance, Finance, and Human Resources departments to ensure adherence to company policy and applicable federal and state regulations
- Providing consistent on-site leadership across multiple practice locations, typically spending four days per week in the field to ensure operational standards and team accountability
Compensation
$140,000 - $180,000 + Annual Bonus Potential
Location
Oversee offices in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Montgomery and Fairfax counties, as well as the Eastern Shore in Maryland. Regular travel throughout the region will be required.
Responsibilities
Drive patient satisfaction optimization through continuous monitoring of patient feedback, timely resolution of service concerns, and implementation of best practices across all regional locations
Maintain full P&L responsibility including managing and improving revenue, reducing clinical costs, and improving clinical margin across all service lines, including cosmetic revenue
Monitor and review provider schedules to maximize capacity utilization, patient encounters, and access across the region

Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated business acumen
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
In-depth knowledge of health care finance best practices and standards
Understanding of health and safety standards in the medical industry
Excellent organization and time management skills
Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA standards
Ability to think strategically to ensure the best possible outcomes and approach to an issue
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, delegate, and manage tasks
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, health information management, or a related field
Minimum five years’ experience in a medical office or similar setting
Master’s degree in public health, health information management and technology, health care administration or business administration is preferred
Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred
