About the role

The Regional Director, Northeast is a new and pivotal role for Friends of Irgun Nechei Zahal (“The Irgun”). Joining at a time of significant growth and opportunity, the Regional Director will play a central role in expanding the organization’s reach and growing its base of philanthropic support across New York, with a primary focus on New York City.

New York represents a critical market for advancing the Irgun’s mission, strengthening donor partnerships, and elevating national visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies for a portfolio of prospects in New York, with the goal of securing major gifts and broadening The Irgun’s base of support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
  • Develop and implement fundraising plans that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Oversee the development and execution of events and campaigns to engage and inspire supporters.
  • Recruit and manage a team to support the Regional Director’s initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and relationship-building in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience working in New York City and familiarity with local philanthropic landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for the mission of Friends of Irgun Nechei Zahal and a commitment to advancing social justice and community empowerment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, public relations, communications).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership position within a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience in fundraising, event planning, and community engagement.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
