Responsibilities
- Manage the Financial and Casino accounting functions
- Prepare and distribute accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property
- Prepare and review corporate accounting reporting packages
- Maintain accurate and updated financial records
- Oversee treasury responsibilities, including reviewing and approving all wire/ACH payments
- Conduct departmental P&L reviews
- Prepare the annual budget
- Prepare reforecasts and longer-term forecasts, as needed
- Perform financial analysis, as warranted
- Ensure proper federal and state tax reporting and withholdings and related filings
- Ensure proper capital expenditure approval and manage cost tracking and reporting and disposition of assets
- Report to Rhode Island Lottery on capital expenditures
- Interact with IT to ensure financial systems operate efficiently
- Implement best practices to streamline and automate accounting processes
- Lead an organization with ethical and compliant practices
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Create a compliance culture within the organization
- Foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct
- Manage flow of information to/from the Rhode Island Lottery
- Handle internal and external audit requests
