Regional Director, Donor Ministries (Houston, TX)

About the role

The Regional Director will build strategic, long-term partnerships with 250+ current and prospective major donors within a region of the United States on behalf of Samaritans Purse. The role involves stewarding partners giving gifts of $20k and above annually and managing an average portfolio of $10M annually. Responsibilities include maintaining a strong Christian witness, communicating the ministry’s mission, and engaging donors through various means.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Jesus Christ
• Represent the ministry to current and prospective donors
• Communicate the mission, scope, program strategies, and program impact of Samaritans Purse
• Build and develop major donor partnerships through networking and research
• Engage donors personally through visits, events, and correspondence
• Facilitate giving opportunities that align donors’ passions with Samaritans Purse’s mission
• Manage a portfolio of 250+ priority relationships in a specified region
• Minister to donors by connecting on a spiritual level
• Encourage donors’ walk with the Lord and incorporate principles of Biblical stewardship

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience developing relationships with high capacity individuals and raising $1M or more annually through major gifts
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to build trust and credibility within Samaritans Purse and outside the ministry

Qualifications & Experience

• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred, not required
