About the role

This full-time, exempt position is based in our Albany, OR office and requires the Regional Controller to be on-site at least three (3) days per week. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) following GAAP standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage costing for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted financial outcomes; provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and communicate financial trends, metrics, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Oversee all A/R, A/P, banking, and purchasing transactions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a financial management or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Experience in capital project- or engineering-driven businesses with international operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
