About the role

Vultr is on a mission to make high-performance cloud infrastructure easy to use, affordable, and locally accessible for enterprises and AI innovators around the world. With 33 global cloud data center locations, Vultr is trusted by hundreds of thousands of active customers across 185 countries for its flexible, scalable, global Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage solutions. In December 2024 Vultr announced an equity financing at a $3.5 billion valuation. Founded by David Aninowsky and self-funded for over a decade, Vultr has grown to become the world’s largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company. Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Construction Manager to own portfolio-level construction delivery across 3–5 concurrent data center sites, sitting between individual site teams and the Director, Construction Delivery. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction management experience, including multi-site or regional oversight, with working fluency in MEP systems, commissioning sequencing, and high-density compute fit-out trades. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require frequent travel across a multi-state portfolio and the judgment to serve as the escalation point for schedule, cost, and quality risk across your sites. This is your opportunity to join our fast growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure. 50% travel requirements for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Own portfolio management of 3–5 concurrent data center construction sites, each led on the ground by a Site Construction Engineer/Lead and Tenant Construction Representative
  • Drive landlord shell acceptance through tenant fit-out (busway, RPP, racks, liquid loop and CDU integration) on schedule and budget across your portfolio
  • Serve as the escalation point for schedule, cost, and quality risk across your sites, partnering with the Project Controls Manager on program-level tracking
  • Coordinate with the Construction EHS Manager on safety program execution at each site
  • Interface with Design Engineering and Commissioning to enforce the hard gate on BOD and drawing approval before construction proceeds
  • Manage the seam into Startup and Turnover, ensuring construction-complete sites are handed off cleanly toward commissioning and integrated systems test
  • Represent construction’s interest in landlord/lease delivery terms — acceptance criteria, commencement definitions, and schedule commitments — before disputes arise
  • Report portfolio status, risk, and resourcing needs to the Director, Construction Delivery

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction management, including multi-site or regional oversight
  • Experience managing landlord-delivered shell space and tenant improvement scopes
  • Working fluency in MEP systems, commissioning sequencing, and fit
