Responsibilities

  • Support the Maersk North America media strategy under the guidance of the Regional Head of Communication, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
  • Draft and coordinate external communications including press releases, media briefings, and executive communication materials, focusing on US business and trade media.
  • Aid in social media content creation, covering corporate news, employee stories, and issue management, while supporting global social media needs.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Copilot, generative AI platforms) to accelerate content drafting, repurpose assets across channels, and optimize posting strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts in North America, particularly in the US, to support brand visibility.
  • Contribute to internal communication efforts across various channels, contributing to employee engagement and leadership messaging in the North America region.
  • Aid in internal leadership communication to help maintain consistency and alignment in messaging, including preparing drafts, talking points, and briefing materials.
  • Contribute to other communication projects as needed, supporting both regional and global initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve communications workflows, such as media monitoring, sentiment analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 8+ years of experience in related activities
  • Knowledgeable on Freight Forwarding operations & finances
  • Proficient with O365 tools (including MS Teams, Viva Engage, and SharePoint)
  • Experience with CargoWise One software

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 USD*
