Regional Business Development Executive – Western Territories (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona)
About the role
The organization partners with agencies and organizations to deliver mission-critical products and operational support that enable teams to perform effectively in the field. Responsible for delivering consistent, year-over-year revenue, margin growth, and increased market share within an assigned geographical area for new prospective customers across all channels of business. Able to negotiate long-term and repeatable contracts. A valued partner by customers and an expert in building profitable and efficient customer purchasing models. Must live within or be able to relocate to an area within a two-hour drive of a hub airport in their market.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for meeting quarterly and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Conducts regular in-person visits with potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
- Provides consistent feedback to sales leadership to support strategic planning, forecasting, and improvements to core processes based on customer insights.
- Develops, coordinates, and delivers presentations to prospective customers as part of the sales process.
- Plans, organizes, and participates in relevant client meetings and industry trade shows.
- Maintains accurate records of prospects, pipeline activity, and appointments within the company CRM system.
- Gathers and analyzes competitive intelligence to remain informed on market trends, industry shifts, and competitor strategies and capabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrates strong initiative, effective prospecting techniques, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to solve problems.
- Proactively communicates and escalates issues when appropriate; comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Delivers persuasive sales presentations backed by solid business insight.
- Skilled in assessing, coordinating, and clearly communicating customer needs and expectations.
- Thrives under pressure, consistently meets critical deadlines, and handles sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis; capable of building financial models to support pricing and profitability assessments.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of assigning and directing tasks effectively to internal support team members.
- Brings 3–5 years of experience in sales, direct marketing, territory management, and customer service.
