About the role
The Galls Regional Business Development Executive - Fire/PPE is responsible for exceeding both revenue and margin quotas within an assigned geographical area with new prospective customers across the Galls Fire Segment. Strong prospecting, presenting, and closing skills are necessary when engaging VP and C-Level executives.
Responsibilities
- Build new business across fire and PPE sectors
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in defined geography
- Schedule and make regular face-to-face calls to prospective new business opportunities
- Provide regular input to sales leadership for strategic planning, sales forecasting, and core process improvements from customer feedback
- Plan and participate in the development and delivery of all presentations to prospective customers
- Organize, set up, and attend client and/or industry trade shows
- Maintain all prospect information, including pipeline and appointments, within the company CRM
- Obtain competitive intelligence and stay current on market trends, industry developments, and the capabilities, vulnerabilities, and intentions of relevant business competitors
- Frequent travel is required
Requirements
- Strong initiative, prospecting skills, written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving ability
- Proactive communication; knows when to escalate in problem situations and is comfortable dealing with all levels within an organization
- Able to deliver sales presentations with business acumen
- Ability to evaluate, coordinate, and communicate customer requirements effectively
- Able to work well under pressure, meet key deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Able to collect and analyze data and develop financial models for pricing and profitability analysis
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with the Galls Intranet, GQ, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Able to define and delegate appropriate work assignments to designated internal support team members
- 3-5 years of sales, direct marketing, territory management, or customer service experience
