Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and sales targets.
- Lead and support the Customer Service Retail teams across Kansas City and Topeka branch locations, fostering a strong work culture.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with the CK marketing team.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper stocking of cylinders and hard goods at each location.
- Provide employee training and development through CK University and vendor resources.
- Maintain branch and employee schedules, conduct regular site visits, and track performance metrics.
- Strengthen external and internal company relationships by addressing concerns with effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Support sales teams, including Retail/Counter Sales, Customer Service, and Outside Sales.
- Represent CK in industry organizations (MCA, ASA, SMACNA, AWS, etc.) through meeting attendance, memberships, and conferences.
- Participate in and encourage others to engage in company committees and sponsored activities.
- Available for after-hours calls for key accounts.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements, including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors.

- Perform other duties as assigned within the job classification and business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred three (3) years of retail counter experience with welding equipment knowledge.
- Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations while accomplishing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and delegating workload as needed.
- Ability to manage diverse individuals and situations professionally.
- Reading, writing, counting, and basic mathematical skills required for documentation.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve issues as they arise.
- Willingness to address any conflict.
- Proficiency in operating office equipment, including computers, phones, and fax machines.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to lift and handle merchandise up to 75 lbs.
- Capable of sitting for extended periods, as well as bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling.
