Regional Billing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manages regional billing team ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively
• Ensures maximum reimbursement through efficient billing and collections operations and effective accounts receivable management
• Ensures that billing and patient accounts record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with state, federal, and company regulations
• Captures and coordinates with Agency management to ensure patient EMR system information is accurate for billing
• Ensures cash receipts are posted in EMR and financial systems timely, balance to bank deposits and general ledger
• Ensures aged receivables are proactively and diligently investigated and resolved
• Enforces internal controls and ensure compliance for all billing related activities
• Provides exceptional leadership and leads resolution of escalated billing and collection issues
• Develops and maintains written departmental billing policies and procedures
• Initiates and promotes continual process improvements within the billing department and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
• Develops and maintains close working relationships with Support Center and Agency staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other applicable discipline preferred
• A minimum of 3 years medical billing and collections management experience; Strong working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and compliance
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience
• Experience utilizing 3rd billing information systems (EMR) required, experience with NetSmart or MatrixCare preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to motivate direct reports
• Excellent interpersonal and professional oral/written communication skills
• Display a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 per year (Average Pay Range)
