Regional Banking Manager II
About the role
This position supervises and manages a region of Community Branch Managers, focusing on coaching and guiding them to achieve established Retail Goals. It involves designing and managing Retail product development and execution strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develops a strong Our Share Future Sales & Service culture throughout the branch and region.
- Aids in the execution of sales skills and service standards.
- Solves problems, provides direction, clarifies expectations, and communicates standards.
- Reviews and recommends improved operating policies.
- Assists with operational excellence in resolving operational and customer problems.
- Conducts monthly managers' meetings, weekly manager conference calls, etc.
- Coaches Community Banking Managers to achieve pre-determined branch sales goals.
- Attends new hire training and welcomes new colleagues to the branch family.
- Promotes teamwork and lateral service within branches.
- Reviews, evaluates, and approves loans within specified lending limits.
- Assists branches in the recovery and prevention of fraud/loss.
- Communicates with branch personnel to provide training and review bank policies, product knowledge, and customer service responsibilities.
- Ensures that branch personnel meet standards of professionalism.
- Completes employee performance reviews and conducts interviews with employees.
- Makes recommendations for branch personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Calls on existing and prospective bank customers to enhance relationships, develop new business, and increase bank market share.
- Acts as a project manager on behalf of the Retail Division, including various bank-wide initiatives.
- When called upon, acts as a mentor to newer position Regional Managers.
- Establishes a leadership role in civic and community functions to enhance image and develop business.
- Interacts with other bank officers to further expand existing customer relationships and develop new contacts.
- Maintains prescribed security controls to protect the branch against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
- Ensures that branch facilities are in good operational repair and recommends capital improvements.
- Keeps informed of current developments and trends and federal and state regulations as they relate to all areas of branch operations.
- Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently.
- Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.
- Completes NMLS requirements as part of the S.A.F.E. Act certification.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, preferably in a managerial capacity, is required. Proven leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a valid driver's license are also required.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications, such as S.A.F.E. Act registration and NMLS certification.

$95,000.00 - $283,500.00

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Must be flexible around branch hours)
