Regional Area Manager
About the role
The Material Processing Facility Regional Leader oversees the operations and performance of material processing facilities within a specified region. This role plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of materials, the safety of our employees, and the achievement of production goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to multiple material processing facilities within the region, ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee safety protocols, compliance with environmental regulations, and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Maintain production targets while maintaining quality standards and cost-effective processes.
- Manage the financial performance of the facilities in the region, including budget development and cost control measures.
- Build, develop, and lead a team of facility managers, operators, and support staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to excel in their roles.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate facility performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure a reliable flow of materials, parts, and services required for facility operations.
- Promote sustainability and environmentally responsible practices within the facilities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Generate and present periodic reports on facility performance, operational metrics, and budgetary status to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business management) or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in material processing, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in waste management or energy-from-waste industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $150,500.00 - $215,100.00 USD per annum
