Regional Applications Engineer - Midwest (MI/NE/KS/MO/IL/OH/WV/W-PA)

About the role

This position oversees the Midwest Sales Territory including MI, NE, KS, MO, IL, OH, WV, and Western PA. Residence in one of these US States is required.

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers, providing product training, information, recommendations, and troubleshooting issues.
• Provide applications excellence to drive and support all Belimo products.
• Support sales strategy to maintain and grow existing repeat business through service, relationship, product knowledge, and application knowledge.
• Utilize applications expertise to assist the sales force in the development of new business using “pull through” sales efforts to acquire specifications and demand for products.
• Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to the Contracting Sales Force, Product Management, and Engineering to develop new business.
• Keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales managers.
• Take a lead role in the development of technical Lunch & Learns and conduct training programs, including Belimo University Programs as required.
• Work closely with District Sales Managers (DSMs) and Field Sales Engineers to troubleshoot product issues at customer sites and help rectify situations for customers.
• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop Master Belimo Specifications for new and existing products.
• Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
• Effectively utilize sales tools including Best and Select Pro.
• Work on committees or special projects as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• 5 years of proven track record in consulting engineering, or 5 years of applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starting personality to efficiently structure work schedule and work successfully from a home office.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.
• Approximately 50% travel required.
• Residence in MI, NE, KS, MO, IL, OH, WV, or Western PA required.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or support such as H1B, TN, E-3, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, or employment-based permanent residence processes.

Pay

The salary for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 with an annual bonus up to 30%. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
