Regional Application Consultant – Midwest Sales Territory (ND/SD/MN/WI/IA/IL). Residence in one of these states is required.
About the role
Provide leadership to all Contracting Sales Managers regarding end-user and consulting-engineering calls in an assigned territory. Coordinate with District Sales Managers on strategies to develop relationships based on qualitative and quantitative objectives in the Contracting Business.
Responsibilities
- Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers, providing product training, information, recommendations, and troubleshooting issues.
- Drive and support all Belimo products through applications excellence.
- Support sales strategy to maintain and grow existing repeat business through service, relationship-building, product knowledge, and application expertise.
- Utilize applications expertise to assist the sales force in developing new business through “pull-through” sales efforts to acquire specifications and demand for Belimo products.
- Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to the Contracting Sales Force, Product Management, and Engineering to develop new business.
- Stay informed of new consulting engineering and end-user projects and provide leads to sales managers.
- Lead the development of technical Lunch & Learns and conduct training programs, including Belimo University Programs as required.
- Work closely with District Sales Managers and Field Sales Engineers to troubleshoot product issues at customer sites and help rectify situations for customers.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to develop Master Belimo Specifications for new and existing products.
- Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
- Effectively utilize sales tools including Best and Select Pro.
- Participate in committees or special projects as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
- 5 years of proven track record in consulting engineering or 5 years of applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starting personality to efficiently structure work schedule and work successfully from a home office.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.
- Approximately 50% travel required.
Pay
Salary range: $110,000 – $125,000 with an annual bonus up to 30%. Compensation is based on geographic location and job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
