About the role
The Regional Controller plays a critical role in scaling Aspen Standard Wealth's financial infrastructure as the company continues to acquire and integrate partner companies. This leader will manage the accounting and finance functions of their assigned region and report to Aspen’s Controller.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day General Ledger (GL) processes, monthly close, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial statements, budgets, and cash forecasts
- Apply US GAAP expertise in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, purchase accounting, leases, and other relevant financial reporting and disclosure requirements
- Serve as a key finance lead during post-acquisition integration with partner companies, onboarding onto Netsuite, RAMP, and other technology solutions
- Work closely with operating company accounting teams to transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting and provide hands-on support, training, and change management to ensure smooth adoption of new processes
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Requirements
- 8+ years professional experience working within Accounting, with at least 3+ years working on an in-house Accounting team
- Experience working in a startup environment with limited corporate infrastructure
- Must have in-depth experience working with NetSuite
- CPA certification required, experience in public accounting preferred
