Under general supervision, responsible for the safe operation of assigned OPCO Storerooms & Laydown Yards to ensure the material, supplies, and equipment needs of Transmission, Station, Protection & Controls, and Telecom are met. Assists in identifying and coordinating training of assigned employees to foster a participative, accident-free culture aligned with Corporate Policies and Procedures. Works collaboratively with Transmission, Station, Protection & Controls, and Telecom to ensure material availability for construction and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Promote and support a Zero Harm culture and demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior to uphold the Company’s Corporate Compliance Policy.
- Foster collaborative relationships with Transmission Business Partners to align material support for construction and maintenance activities with internal customer needs.
- Supervise full-time and staff augmentation employees, ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines, Laydown Yard procedures, and Supply Chain policies.
- Conduct or assist with annual site assessments at all responsible locations.
- Maintain professional working relationships with partners in Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Real Estate, Workplace Services, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Transmission Project Management.
- Collaborate with the Materials Management Team to maintain proper inventories for Transmission, Station, P&C, and Telecom facilities.
- Assist with Laydown Yard operations, including coordinating shipments, processing electronic transactions, and managing off-loading, loading, and staging of materials.
- Coordinate cycle inventories, resolve discrepancies, and maintain related records.
- Recommend improvements for safety, operations, and utilization of storerooms and Laydown Yards.
- Monitor expenses to maintain cost-efficient operations and ensure adherence to Lean and 6S practices.
- Direct the use of materials management systems and related computer hardware/software for facility operations.
- Ensure proper contracting procedures for vendors and service providers within Laydown Yards.
- Identify training opportunities and support safety programs to foster an accident-free culture.
- Support procedures that comply with Corporate and Departmental policies and monitor adherence.
- Actively support employee development by identifying training needs to help them reach their full potential.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Transmission, Station, Protection & Controls, and Telecom representatives to ensure material availability for construction and maintenance.
- Administer the company’s Performance Management Review, Salary Administration programs, and Management Information and Policy Manual.
- Promote and enforce the Company’s Accident Prevention, Safety, and Health programs.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in business administration or relevant supply chain operations discipline and two years of supply chain operations experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
- OR five years of supply chain-related experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience (if no degree).
- Supervisory experience as a Stores Supervisor is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of company practices and procedures for receiving, issuing, and storing materials.
- Ability to work effectively with other departments and provide clear direction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to achieve effective work results.
- Availability 24/7 to support emergency outage restoration efforts.
Pay
$87,633 - $102,239 annually
