About the Role

The Regeneration Operator II is responsible for mobile equipment regeneration and facility-wide water management operations. This role involves chemical handling, resin regeneration, wastewater operations, and facility water balancing. The operator completes the resin handling cycle, including unloading and reloading onto various mobile equipment, and oversees resin regenerations and wastewater treatment while maintaining appropriate water levels throughout the facility. The Regeneration Operator II may serve as a backup shift lead and is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of facility processes such as dock operations, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring regeneration equipment within proper equipment parameters.
  • Handling resin unloading and loading processes in trailers and regeneration vessels.
  • Managing the wastewater process from regeneration activities and maintaining the balance of deionized water for regeneration activities.
  • Executing plant startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Entering SAP production orders for mobile equipment and resin regeneration to ensure accurate tracking, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Mentoring new hires through demonstrations, clear explanations, and responsive answers.
  • Conducting standard lab tests to ensure quality control, including pH, conductivity/resistivity, silica, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
  • Documenting all activities, including checklist completion, performance data, equipment issues, shift logs, and wastewater tank discharge.
  • Ensuring safety compliance by following protocols, using proper PPE, maintaining clean workspaces, and adhering to spill response steps.
  • Maintaining communication with supervisors and team members, providing regular status updates, and participating in team meetings.
  • Demonstrating commitment to ongoing improvement by recommending process optimizations and engaging in training opportunities.
  • Allocating specific equipment to orders in accordance with customer requirements and equipment specifications.
  • Regular forklift operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment involving material handling.
  • Preferred: High School Chemistry knowledge.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and OSHA regulations.
  • SAP Experience.

Skills

  • Strong communication (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite or Google Workspaces.
  • Forklift Certification or ability to obtain.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
  • Time management and organization.
  • Proficiency in work order and inventory management software.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

  • Ability and willingness to work in various weather conditions (indoor/outdoor).
  • Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.
  • Ability and willingness to work night shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business demand.
