About the Role

Regal Cinemas at Eastview Mall in Victor, NY is looking for part-time cast members who are passionate about movies and want to be part of delivering the best possible service, cleanliness, and movie-going experience to guests in a diverse, fun, energetic, and engaging environment. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher.

Team members must act as representatives of Regal in a way consistent with our mission statement and policies, including regular and consistent attendance, handling emergency situations, performing general cleaning duties, and complying with the company dress code.

Responsibilities

  • Box Office
    • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy.
    • Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX).
    • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
    • Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with Regal’s guest service philosophy.
  • Concession
    • Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, as well as concession stock inventory.
    • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
    • Upsell and suggestively sell items.
    • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
    • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
    • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable. If assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, you must be of legal age according to state or local laws.
  • Usher
    • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
    • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
    • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
    • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
    • Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment.
    • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
    • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
    • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby areas, hallways, and other spaces.
    • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
    • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Availability to work weekends is a must; weekday opening and/or closing availability is preferred.
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.
  • If assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, completion of any legally required state or local training and certification is mandatory, along with Regal’s Responsible Beverage Server training.
  • Read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.

Qualifications

  • Language Ability: Possess good public speaking skills, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.
  • Math Ability: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence-based conclusions. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management. Ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives.

  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Starting at $16.00/hour.
