About the role

Regal Cinema at Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY is seeking part-time cast members who are passionate about movies and eager to deliver exceptional service, cleanliness, and movie-going experiences to guests.

What You Will Do

• Sell tickets, concessions, and/or work as an usher
• Work weekends are mandatory; weekday openings/closings are preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Box Office:
• Operate POS system, including handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers' checks, gift cards, and redeemed tickets
• Up sell and suggest additional premium viewing experiences
• Promote the Regal Crown Club program
• Sell tickets in compliance with MPAA ratings and company policy
• Answer phone calls and questions from guests
• Concession:
• Operate POS system, manage cash drawer, credit cards, gift cards, and redeemed coupons
• Promote the Regal Crown Club program
• Prepare and clean concession-related equipment
• Up sell and suggest additional items
• Comply with food safety laws
• Absorb breaks and meal periods as required
• Ensure alcohol certifications and training are current
• Usher:
• Tear tickets, collect stubs, direct guests to their auditoriums
• Inspect backpacks and packages, manage crowd control, assist guests with seating
• Enforce MPAA ratings, conduct in-theater inspections, report issues to management
• Perform concession auxiliary sales as directed
• Clean auditoriums, restrooms, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums
• Maintain cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
• Assist with opening and closing duties

Pay Scale Information

Starting at $16.00/hour

Qualifications

• Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress towards completion
• Legal age to sell or serve alcohol if applicable
• Completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
• Good public speaking, listening, and responding skills
• Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy
• Reasoning ability to identify and solve problems
• Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
• Goal setting, budgeting, and prioritizing tasks

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 60 pounds
