About the Role

Regal Cinema at Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY is looking for part‑time cast members who are passionate about movies and want to be part of delivering the best possible service, cleanliness and movie‑going experience to our guests in a diverse, fun, energetic and engaging environment. Cast members enjoy free movie tickets and a 50 % discount on concessions.

Responsibilities

  • Box Office
    • Operate POS system and manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, discount tickets, passes and coupons.
    • Upsell/present Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX) and promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Sell tickets in accordance with MPAA ratings and company policy.
    • Answer phone calls and guest questions consistent with the guest service philosophy.
  • Concession
    • Operate POS system and handle cash, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and coupons; maintain inventory.
    • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Prepare, operate and clean concession equipment.
    • Upsell and suggestive sell.
    • Comply with all local, state and federal food‑safety laws.
    • Maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable.
    • Complete required training on sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Usher
    • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
    • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
    • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
    • Enforce MPAA rating system.
    • Conduct in‑theatre inspections for picture and sound quality and prevent film/content theft.
    • Report problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management.
    • Perform auxiliary concession sales in the auditorium as directed.
    • Clean auditoriums after shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby, hallways and other areas.
    • Monitor cleanliness and operation of vending equipment.
    • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.

Schedule

Weekend availability is required. Weekday opening and/or closing availability is preferred. Flexible scheduling is offered.

Pay

Starting at $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Completion of the cast certification program (or progress toward completion) and box‑office cashier training.
  • If assigned alcohol duties, completion of required state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.

Physical Demands

The role frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking and hearing. Occasionally requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and lifting up to 60 lb. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
