Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments accurately using various referral sources and Epic work queue.
- Gather detailed patient information and determine appropriate scheduling options.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide relevant appointment information.
- Transcribe and scan referrals into the Epic EMR system.
- Enter demographic, referral, and insurance data accurately.
- Cook up and maintain effective relationships with providers and staff.
- Career support patient care and administrative functions, including backup to the Same Day Scheduler.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical practice or hospital setting.
- Recent EMR experience, preferably with Epic.
- Strong communication skills and professional phone demeanor.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Dependable, proactive, and flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is a plus.
