Referral Coordinator
A Full-Service Medical Group with multiple locations is searching for a Referral Coordinator that can start ASAP! Bilingual is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes referrals
- Verifies insurance eligibility
- Obtains authorizations
- Captures and maintains accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Maintains and monitors referral status
- Ensures timely communication with patients, insurance plans, and healthcare partners
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of referral coordination or medical office experience preferred; community clinic experience is a plus
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and referral processing for HMO, PPO, and uninsured patients
- Experience verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining authorizations, and coordinating referrals
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR); experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW), Medpoint, RPS, and eConsult preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00/hr DOE
Schedule
Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM – 5:00PM
