Referral Coordinator
The pay range for this position is $24.25 per hour, ranging from the lowest possible rate to the highest possible rate based on individual skills and qualifications. About the role
The Referral Coordinator is responsible for patient referrals, pre-authorizations, scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and providing general office support duties. This position provides and tracks authorizations and referrals, ensures documents are accurately handled in a timely manner, and performs daily monitoring of all initial referrals and follow-up tasks.

- Handle patient referrals and pre-authorizations

- Verify insurance coverage
- Provide general office support duties
- Track and monitor authorizations and referrals
- Affirmatively ensure accurate document handling and timely task completion
- Daily monitoring of initial referrals and follow-up tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous experience operating personal computers and using Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office
- Preferred: Six (6) months experience working with various insurance referral and documentation needs
- One (1) year directly related experience or training
- Knowledge of basic medical coverage plans including HMO, PPO, State programs and other types of coverage
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software
